There has been much progress with full heart support and replacement recently including different rotary pumping solutions such as Corheart 6 and clinical implants of BiVacor, as well as progress with pulsatile pumps. As Iasi is the home of the successful MAVIS Total Artificial Heart it is logical that this year’s WG Heart symposium is focussed replacing or supporting the whole heart.
